The Good, bad and bloody ugly

Hmmm boy my weekend was a mixture...

The Good......

Well of course the Transformation article was a "Good!" I have had so much positive feedback from all over the world. I love that what I have done is helping others, I even discovered today that when my Brother showed his work mates they were inspired to start their own walking group! How fabulous is that!

I also bought my Bikini fabric on Saturday!!! Couldn't make up my mind ( oh ok... Hubby and I could not agree) so I ended up with THREE different colours, and they range from sublime to Wow! Still can not decide which one I prefer, Hubby and Grandson Jofus Nofus agree on their favorite, which happened to be the one I like least, but hey what do I know I just have to wear it LOL

The Bad.......

My Mum was rushed to Hospital in the early hours of Sunday morning after her heart did a couple of double flips. Now when I say rushed, I mean the doctor phoned for an ambulance at 1.45am, I got to their place at 2am, the ambulance arrived at 4.30am.... Due to the fact that Bribie has ONE ambulance and some drunken idiots decided to fight and managed to kill one of themselves. I know that it is a tragedy, but when the ambulance driver tells you that your Mum is the first person from their whole shift that isn't drunk and abusive.... well I'm sorry but why was she left to wait while the drunks were tended to????

She is still in hospital but better this evening although she did have another "turn" early this morning, so after MRI's and heart readings we are now waiting to see what is causing them and what needs to be done to help her. My Dad is coping quite well, but of course it is hard on him not having Mum to nag him so my daughter and I have been filling in for her LOL.

The Ugly.....

Ok so when the label on the box of hair colour said "Ash Blonde" I really did not think that the colour would be the same as old Ashes!!!!!! I mean why would they make a hair colour that turns your hair grey??????

So I realise that after getting up at 2am and having no sleep and then deciding at 5pm that you need to colour your hair to make you feel better probably wasn't the brightest idea... but Ash Blonde is a white glossy colour IN my head.... not the old, salt and pepper grey that is now ON my head!!!

Well my "make me feel better" was about the furthest point of where I was once my hair dried to old grey!!!! I have since added a quick semi-permanent over the top so now it resembles dirty sand.... better than dirty ashes... once my poor hair has had a rest for a few days I am going to hit it with another lot of "Anything but Ash Blonde"...

On to Monday...
Monday is... as I am sure you know by now if you are paying attention.... Shoulders and Hammies... great workout... and tomorrow the countdown diet will begin.... and hopefully I will get to explain to my Mum why I just can not eat her scones till October...

Oh Cath, not good. Hope your mum is ok, I think I know what you mean about 'youngin's' doing bad things to each other following ingestionof the old ETOH, add some other substances and ... but as you say where you live it's especially not good and really stretches resources.

On a brighter note, read your transformation and as usual, what an inspiration. In the past I have had pics around my home in strategic places and I think it will be happening again in my new challenge. KatieP, Fern, Doris, Jude, Kerry, .... so may people around here are such inspiration.

Hope your are feeling a little better & best wishes to your mum. E

Oh honey! I really hope your mum gets well...that can be so scary...and to think that the alchos are taken care of first! Damn! Eats ya' up!

I'm sure your hair colour will come good-I have done so much to my hair over the years-f'd it up so many times only to go to a proper hair stylist and have him/her make it all good! And I've actually given them nightmares....told them I did such and such-but still want them to do this and that....and it has NEVER fallen out! Hair and scalp are much tougher than ya' think!

On top of all of that...WHAT IS YOUR NEXT COMP....I missed something...
congrads again on all the features girl-you've worked hard and deserve the kudos!

Thinking of ya. Hope they find out exactly what's wrong with your mum and that she gets the proper treatment. My mum's had a few 'turns' lately herself so I know what its like, especially when no obvious cause is found.

Oh..and hope you sort that hair out LOL!!
