Beautiful Day..

Wow what a fabulous day it is on Bribie... celebrated Australia day on the beach swimming and sunbathing and I even wore my INBA Australia Green and Gold cap for the day which I reckon isn't bad for an import from across the ditch...

Trained back this morning and did 30 mins of cardio running for 25 mins of it - yay really enjoying being able to run again... Ohhh did I mention that yesterday morning we arrived to discover that the gym had be broken into overnight, luckily the little bastards just made a bit of a mess... It was weird to arrive and discover that someone had invaded the place... Hubby took off to let the owner know and on his way home suddenly realised that I could be locked in the place with the buggers, so made a super speedy trip home and back... meanwhile I'm standing in the dark gym and suddenly I think.. "Shit! what if they are still here!" So I just stood still and listened and since it just sounded like it normally does with the geckos calling I figured that I was fine so I went and started training... It was still a bit unsettling though, I spend so much time there it really feels like a home away from home and it pisses me off to think someone has violated the place...

Anyway after training today I inhaled breakfast then we took off to the beach, came home showered and then went for a push bike ride around the other part of the beach and into the BP servo for a coffee and to watch the 4x4 idiots line up right across the forecourt and sit in the sun so they can inflate their tyres after going out through the sand dunes...

Its hilarious as they just sit there for 30 mins waiting for their turn at the one air pump. They block all the car parking spaces and some people end up in the line even though they just want fuel and don't realise the line is just for tyre air!!!

It is like watching some sort of weird reality game show... "Pick the driver who will explode first!" LOL

Push biked home and did a little book work for Hubbies business, cleared out a few of the excess banana palms and I have nearly prepared all the meals for tomorrow - will cook the meat when I do our dinner... then we are on the Harleys and heading back to the waterfront for the fireworks... we figure that taking the bikes is the way o go as we can park them on the grass since the traffic is out of control down there today... tourists!!! Sigh!!!

Seems someone even managed to ruin their Australia day by hitting the railings on the one and only bridge to the island so for about 2 hours no one could get on or off the island, bet that pleased a lot of people this morning - NOT!

Quads and cardio tomorrow then up to see Kelli for the weekly measurements.... I think I've done well this week but hey it doesn't matter what I think it only matters what the calipers tell me... will let you know...

Off to cook dinner then FIREWORKS YAY!!!

What an awesome day. You sound so free! Must be lovely to have grown up kids and more time to yourself and hubby!

I am so happy now that we didn't do the trek to Bribie for the day. The bridge thing would have been horrible!!! And I remember how busy it was last year, when we were trying to get there!

Hope the fireworks finish off a really great day for you two, and best of luck with Kelli tomorrow.
