A Campaign...

I am seething today... boil boil seething!!!!!

Seems I am not the only one being hassled about eating a pre-contest diet, seems that other people who have amazing goals and are reaching for them even when they feel like they are sliding down a cliff face are also having to suffer from work BULLIES!!!!

What is it people????? Why is it sooooo annoying when we eat healthy food, why do you need to comment on our meals, how they smell, how they look, what they are!!!!!

Do we stand next to you and your disgusting fat laden chips and toasted sandwiches and make fun of your food??? Do we tell you your fat dripping food stinks and makes our stomachs churn???? Do we expect you to eat your toasted sandwich cold so the smell of the cheese doesn't offend us??????

I am totally supporting the campaign to make all fast food outlets list the calories in their foods, I believe they should also be made to chow how much of those calories come from fat, carbohydrates and protein, I believe they should have to advertise using real people who eat their food who are overweight, slow, poisoned humans who ache and cough and get up in the morning breathless and tired because of the poisons in their systems from the crap in their food.

I want to start a campaign where fit and healthy people are given one day where they can walk up to their smelly fat co-workers and poke their fingers into their huge thighs and say......

Wow! Gee I wish I was as huge as you and could eat that food and wear those clothes!!!! I just don't know how you do it everyday, I would never have the willpower to push that amount of fat into my mouth every day!!!!!

Rant over.... Measurement day today, will fill you in tonight... once again running late for work...

It is amazing that healthy people are being the ones to have to defend their habits!

I love the last line "I would never have the willpower to push that amount of fat into my mouth every day!" Frickin hilarious! I would love to say that to someone that was taking shots at my food! :-)

So very well said Cath, funny in a way but not funny in another. We also find it amusing the way people look at us in general, in the supermarket, cafe, restaurant etc, like we are the freaks. You get the eye up and down as fat and unfit people walk past. Am going to get Colleen a singlet that says, " Yes and I have had 3 kids too :) Once again great stuff.

I read a saying once that reasonated with me. I tried it someone that was putting down my healthy choices and interest in building muscles for me .. when all commonsense responses failed to connect. I simply said to him "I'm more of a man than you will ever be, and more of a woman than you will ever have". I turned and walked away leaving him speechless and jaw flapping in the wind as the vaccum in his head imploded. You girl go - all of you prepaing for comp. I admire your discipline so much.

Cath,

I've learned from overweight and obese people around me that "its all about the food". Yes taste is number one priority so if they like the taste (eg the fat and/or the sugar) then they'll be eating it irrespective of the nutritional labelling. In many cases it also comes down to sheer ignorance but are they ready to learn and change? Usually not!!

Hold your head high and make no concessions. Eat what you choose and be proud that you have the determination and dedication to go above and beyond the average Joe and achieve things they never dreamed of.
