stretching.....

One of the most important things your are told when you start training is that it is very important to stretch....

What they fail to tell you is that the truth is probably the thing that is stretched the most when it comes to training....

For instance.... Tonight while I was training legs a 20 something year old male had to wait for me to finish with the the 30kgs so he could do his next exercise.... so I could say that little old 50year old me was using the same 30kg's as a 20 something year old male triathlete.. woohooo!!! Hell he must be ashamed to be shown up like that... of course the truth is that I was doing Sumo squats and he was doing dumbbell chest press lol... still I think I might forget to mention that next time and I bet he doesn't tell anyone about having to wait for me to finish with the weights he wanted lol

I figure that if everything mentioned about the gym is to be believed  there are 20kg women out there bench pressing 300kg.... damn I'm jealous!  Not!

Really does it matter what the weight is that anyone is pushing, pulling, dragging or throwing at their partners... oppps shouldn't mention that last one... please forget that I said that... I promise I have not tossed any weights at hubby for at least... well... not since we changed gyms anyway...lol

ahhmmm as I was typing.. it does not matter what anyone else is lifting...what matters is that you are doing your best, giving your all, concentrating and working to the best of your ability... who cares if someone young enough to be your kid can lift more than you... everyone has a different ability and to use your ability to do your best is all you can do... its really what counts.. in everything you do... be the best you can... even when it seems like you are surrounded by aliens who seem to be doing their best to alter your mind... sod them! Go to the gym and train like hell and your world will be better... mine was today..

So Legs have been trained... cardio awaits tomorrow morning... then off to the hospital with Hubby to have his elbow checked out.... please no excess elbow movement jokes... yesssss.. come on think about it, move your elbow.. seee ... I said No excess elbow movement jokes cause really I have worn them out... in a caring loving wifey sort of a way... not... hehehehehe

ok ok, i went to the gym last night, even though the aliens are wreaking HAVOC with my days and chaos with my sleep :)
