The forgotten gym junkies...

Soooo we turn up at the gym at 6am as usual only to find the whole morning crowd of over 60's are standing in the rain with the cardio instructor... We sat in the car for about 5 mins and then shot home and got Hubbies mobile and shot back - we only live 2 mins by car away (yes we could have walked but it was pouring!!!) - and checked to see if anyone had phoned the gym owner to ask what was going on..

It is now around 6.10am and call me nasty... but I was amused to find out that the whole lot were still just standing in the rain waiting and no-one thought to try and contact the owner or the woman who should have opened the gym????

Luckily we clean the guys car and Hubby phoned him and by 6.20 we were all in and trying to get our day back to normal....

But hang on... How can someone just forget something like that???? My alarm would have been set the night before... Although I have to admit I would have loved to see how long the crowd just stood in the rain and waited if we hadn't turned up..... Yes I am evil... sigh...

Anyway, we were lucky as Hubby didn't have to start till a little later today so we had time to fit in a full Back workout... But I would have been a grumpy camper if we had run out of time and not been able to get the full days training done..

Limped through cardio tonight until I got hold of the cross trainer and finished up ok... leg still niggling at me... damn it's annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No major food intake issues today... probably cause I spent the day having nails made beautiful and then had the grey hair bleach white with this really cool purple bit at the front and the back and a teeny bit on one side.

After nearly 4 years I have finally found a hairdresser who does not turn pale and blink at me when I tell her to add bright purple or pink to my hair - YAY!!!!!

I was spoiled back in NZ having a male bodybuilder for a hairdresser!

He is definitley not gay, in fact he was prone to having a bit of a boob grab when you least expected it, but he is a good friend who gives the most amazing head massages and it is fabulous to have a bloke with biceps the size of rockmellons washing your hair!

He is also great at his job and I would plonk myself down and just let him do his thing with the colours and cuts and it was always fabulous... Ohhh and he was great at spotting you later at the gym...

Then we moved here and I have been searching ever since for another hairdresser who is not trying to make me look like a 50 year old granny!!!! I have finally found the fabulous Kylie and I swear I will follow her around Australia if I have to LOL

Anyway, this kept me locked in the salon for most of the day which meant I didn't get bored which meant I didn't eat like last Thursday...

Once again the scale gods are smiling on me...

I admire those guys that can get up in the am to go to the gym before work. I tried, but I just can't get to work by 8.00am. However I absolutely understand about following your hairdresser across country. I met mine when I first came to the Top End, she worked in the Salon I went to as it turned out she worked in the salon I went to in Townsville before moving to Paradise. So I went to her for years at the local shopping centre, then the tart decided to have children! Well what was I going to do without her? Many months, money and foul cuts in the wilderness, she opened her own shop. BUT it was in a 'rural' area. Many people give me curry about going to her, but hey it only takes 20 mins to drive there - he he he living in the NT has its advantages. She's in the country, but hey there aint many things I am pedatic about. Hair IS one of them. We've done many styles, colours etc but I am always happy with what she does. I am a nurse but I have a Mon - Fri job, and she doesn't work weekends so I make my PDO/ADO on a weekday when she works. People laugh at me, but they also comment on how nice my hair always looks.
