Having a Baby......

Is what I now compare doing this competition to...

See it starts off with you seeing other people having babies and somewhere deep in the dark places in your mind you think.... I would like to have a baby one day...

Then you meet a few people who have had babies and they look soooo happy and pleased with themselves and their baby and you think.... That looks like a fun thing to do... I want to feel that happy and complete... I want a baby...

So you start doing your homework and find out how to make a baby and wow all that cardio, sweating, and bulging muscles look great... so off you go and sweat and there is muscles bulging and you get to do a fair bit of cardio and then...

You are told you are having a baby and your Due Date is now about 7 months away... You are told to eat carefully, be healthy, have fun... so you do... and Wow your body starts changing in amazing ways...

About 3 months from the big day you learn that you have to eat even more carefully, be even more careful about how you sweat and push stuff and you are starting to be a bit concerned about how your body is changing...

Next thing you know it is just a month till your big day and you don't feel like moving much at all, your body has totally changed and you are now questioning the wisdom of this whole Baby thing... maybe you could change my mind and go back to just being just you... but it's too late for that... the due date is way too close... and it is really kind of exciting!!!!

Then you suddenly have to pack a special bag full of stuff for the big day, you have tired and grumpy days and happy and exciting days, and if anyone even looks sideways or talks about your body you snarl or cry or giggle uncontrollably and tell them they should try having a baby since it is an amazing journey...

Then you wait patiently (or as patiently as any pregnant woman can) for the big day, bag packed, special clothing organised..... and counting the sleeps to the big day... 11 more sleeps!!!!

Weight the same, skinfolds down to exactly the right number, everything on plan for my big day, can not wait!!!!

Hi Cathy/Witchazel (sorry, not sure what to call you)!

I've been reading your blog for a little while now and I thought I should say HI and introduce myself... especially after your post today. I love it! I can't believe you have just posted about this and I was just doing my cardio thinking about how my muscles growing are like babies I've grown that I can't wait to show to my friends who haven't seen me in ages! Strange, but you are so right and you've really said it very well. I'm competing for the first time this year too and I've thought that way about all this stuff :)

I wish you all the best for your comp in 10 days, sounds like you will rock it! Good luck and keep up that awesome, positive vibe you have, it's great to read about :)
