Just party like its...

My birthday!!!

Yep I had to change the header on my Blog today, 49 has rolled around and I got to spend my birthday at home depleting for the comp on Saturday... woohoo!

I don't mind that at all because, when I was 39 or even 29, if you had stopped me and told me that I would miss this birthday because I was about to do a figure competition I would have laughed my way out your door....

Even though when I was 29 and 39 I wanted to be doing this, it was always just one of those things you dream about but know deep down you never will.....

There was always more important things to be doing, looking after kids or husband, what they needed or wanted. Working to pay off things that seemed really important, far important than my dreams....

It took me a lot of wasted years to learn that you MUST reach for your dreams, I wish I had learnt this lesson earlier in my life, I still have so many dreams I am reaching for and I can only hope that someone with a dream may read this and it helps them realise that dreams can be reached before they decide they are too old to do them... which I don't think you ever are!!!

Now I am going to have my last meal on my birthday... steamed chicken and kumara.. it is actually yum!!!

Oh and my Hubby, dogs, family and friends have made my day a great day, I received so many emails, facebook wishes, phone calls, visits and big juicy dobermann kisses that I am overwhelmed by the wondeful people and black beasties in my life. Thank you all so very much
