The smile of a stranger...

I met a great lady last night via email and then by phone. It seems that the figure bug has snuck up on Susie and bit her fair between the eyes so she contacted me for some clues from another over forty woman who battles with the dreaded thyroid monster...

I had a great chat with her, I felt an instant friendship and I am hoping we can stay in touch as she plays with this insane sport we all love to hate LOL

She has also inspired me to get my act together on a number of other plans, scheeeemes, gooooals, ideas, dreammms... ooopps sorry mind wandering there... ok back to reality now...

I changed my training programme yesterday for the 8 weeks leading up to my competition. So yesterday was solely Chest training and today was Bicep& Triceps.

I have used this programme before (thanx Jo ) and I really enjoy the short and heavy workout that will be happening on all body parts this week, next week I do exactly the same exercises but with high reps and lighter weights. I find that alternating the reps like that not only shocks my body to change but it keeps it easier to remember what the next exercise is, but still interesting enough to keep it fresh.

I feel the build up to the next comp really kicking in now and seem to have finally found my focus!

Tomorrow is measurement day so I have everything crossed (which should make cardio this evening interesting) that I am under 9% this week.. But even if I'm not I will just aim the camel fleas into the appropriate armpits and keep going...

I have just finished my 4pm meal of Tuna and egg whites nuom nuom nuom and I'm impatiently waiting for them to be absorbed so I can go and do cardio.... When I made them the first time I held my breath and put the fist spoonful in my mouth and WOW it was yum!!! Totally YUM!

But because of the time it takes to cook them and the delightful fish & egg whites odour that permeates the microwave and the most of any air space near by, I have to wait till I get home from Sucky job to have them... So of course this throws my cardio back until around 6pm instead of 4.30pm... See how much of a whimp am I.. I sit and have my morning and afternoon green tea with 3 smokers but I don't make my tuna & egg whites cause they smell... wtf???? (Please take the time to imagine me slapping myself in the head, cause I do deserve it)

Speaking of smells... I have discovered that banana lollies can be smelt from approximately 600mtrs... yep it was "make up the lolly bags" day today and I could smell the banana lollies from downstairs... Then the bags were made up in the office right next door to mine and one girl was just about putting one in her mouth, one in the bag, for an hour.... So yes I can now say I officially have WONT-POWER... I have always had willpower.. why yes I WILL have a lolly, banana, cake... Not anymore, in fact now that I really think about it, I wasn't even interested in having one cause I was hanging out for the tuna & egg whites... strange but true... LOL

Right! Time to put the doggy chicken mince into the microwave to defrost, the washing on, the ipod on my feet and the Pumas in my ears... just checking to see if you are really reading this or just skimming.......

LOL. I passed up some freddo frogs at a work meeting I won for being a good girl (rolls eyes) I would never have done that in the past, in fact I would have eaten the extra ones laying around too :P
Now how are you cooking these egg whites and tuna to TASTE good? Inquiring minds want to know ;)

willpower vs wontpower, i love it!!! hey, the ipod wont reach from my toes, but yes the ipod is my new saving grace, i kick ass when i have tunes at the gym!! :) i want to hear more about these schemes goals dreams too!!!!! ..excellent!!!

now about the tuna and egg whites, sounds yummy. is it just mixed and thrown in the micro? like a scramble?

ok... the secret ecipe is 125gms drained tuna in springwater, 1 cup (or 8) egg whites, black pepper & braggs amino to taste (braggs tastes like soya sauce), its from the USA so you should be able to get it MQ01,and tearose you can get it from most health food stores here. Whisk manualy to beak up the tuna and I microwave on 70% for 3-4mins stopping it every 45 secs or so to whisk.. looks like shit but does taste great! I as told to add corrianda or chives but dont have any and like it plain..

Sounds like a good recipe, love my eggwhites, love my tuna, so together it should be yum...don't know about Puma's but I have been known to run out the door with Nike's round my ears just so I can get to the gym with enough time to make it back on time for school pick-up ;-) LOL
