Zen and the Poser

Sorry no blogging for the last few days... been just working, training, cardio and studying and just keep running out of hours to fit everything in..

Friday trained legs and everything was ok till I did the stiff legged dead lifts... felt a bit of a twinge... well it was enough of a twinge to bring the tears to the edge of the eyes but not enough to make them run down my face... you know that moment when you head says "oooo Fuck" and you just know that the feeling you just felt wasn't a good thing..

I stopped doing the SLDL's and carried on with the rest of the workout with a tiny voice in the back of my head mumbling something about old and stupid but she is always back there somewhere so I chose to ignore her and did my cardio Friday night with a slight ache...

So Saturday is Chest day - Yay love it as we don't have as much of a time schedule on Saturday and there is usually different faces training as well. Had a PB on the Flat Bench Press and again on the Decline Smith Machine Press but had a fair bit of trouble getting up and down from the Delcine bench for the presses and the flys.... finished off with my 20 mins of HIIT cardio...

Saturday night I was in a fair amount of pain in my lower back and had to get out the Zen.. If you guys aren't using it for your aches and pains you are missing out on something magical.. it comes in a small brown bottle and is a Herbal Liniment. You rub a few drops of the oil on your aches and the spot gets very warm, almost feels like you have a wheat bag on the spot, then very cold like an ice pack has gone on.. then when the cold goes so does the ache... awesome stuff.

Still I woke up with my back still really sore and found it hard to jog our Sunday morning waterfront walk/jog. Then spent the morning at the beach reading my assignments while Hubby went kayaking. I managed to get a little over cooked but it was just fabulous to be in the sunshine again!!!

This afternoon I met up with Julie and Renee at the gym and we went through the symmetry poses then the compulsories since she is still learning them all. It was great since Hubby left me alone to pull and push her and Renee around instead LOL.

Wow I had forgot how sore and tired posing makes you! But funnily enough after posing my back is almost completely pain free even though I almost hobbled into the gym... ha! So I am back to being a poser again... and Hubby is back to waving his arms and sticking out his bum and tits to show us how to do it till we get it right LOL!!!!!!

Well time to iron the uniform that is once again becoming saggy and baggy.... another week of training, cardio, clean food, laughter, light and love...

Be good and if you can't be good, I better get an invite!!!

Oh Cath I did the same exact thing Friday! Its still a little sore. I had hubby roll it with a tennis ball and it felt a lot better, hmm I should get some of that zen. I used voltaren, that helped , it seemed to just not be as stiff. I hope yours is better like tomorrow lol. How are you handling the upcoming leg workout?

No SLDL thats for sure LOL, will just have to take it easy on my legs for a while... sigh!

Hey Cath, this Zen stuff sounds too good to be true! Where do you get it from??????

You can get it from Healthy Life but I guess any good health food store.. When I got it I was told that arthritis suffers love it and its hard to keep in stock, I got some for my Mum and she uses it now when her hands and feet play up, she loes it too!
