FIGURING OUT THE FIFTIES.... SO THIS IS WHAT IT IS ALL ABOUT.......

Pushy Bastard....

After much discussion and "what about" "Do you think" and 'If I..." we have finally seemed to work out how we can fit what we both need to do when it comes to training...

The problem has always been that after a 4.30ish start and a day spent hand polishing and cleaning up to 7 cars, Hubby is pretty buggered and to do a good solid workout on top of that sort of a day is pretty hard.. so Hubby needs to train in the morning...

But I need to do cardio on an empty stomach in the morning and train at night.. so we have come up with this..

5.30am I do my cardio on an empty stomach and Hubby does his weight training after taking the appropriate morning concoction pre-workout shake...

If I haven't trained Abs the night before I will tack some abs onto the end of my cardio to make up time until Hubby has finished, if I have already done abs I speed walk home and get a head start in the shower and breakfast ruck and maul that happens when we both hit the kitchen starving after training at the same time...

After work I do my workout and Hubby yells at me...

Ohhh ok... maybe "yells" is too strong a word... lets just say he encourages me with intensity to work harder, push more, not cry like a girl, to breath before I pass out, to do 4 more, 3 more, 3 more, 2 more... yes not only is he a pushy bastard he is also a sneaky bastard...

Well the difference this has bought to my training is fabulous! After last nights Chest and Tricep workout I came home and had trouble reaching for the toilet paper... do you have any idea how hard that stuff can be to rip off the roll... yes the triceps were well trained.. this morning I was all "Nah, all is good, hardly any soreness... then I moved.. crap the DOMS are awesome, my chest is sooo tender and my triceps hate me.. YAY!

Tonight it was Glutes, Hammies and Abs, and I am looking forward to falling onto the toilet seat in the morning cause my legs are already struggling to lift me from the chair LOL

I love the whole walking like John Wayne thing although I have to admit that running on the treadmill tomorrow morning may be a bit of an adventure in will power over pain threshold....

I am sure there is a formula I learnt in school about that...if X equals you glutes and Y equals how hard your Hubby yelled then S must equal......... SHIT they hurt LOL

Tomorrow is Wednesday (Duh? Really Cath.. Wow that's startling news) and Hump day is weigh & measure day (yes I now you know that I now you know that) this morning my weight (yes I know you know I shouldn't have even been standing on the sodding thing today but hey I felt "light" so I risked it) was down another 1.1kgs from Saturday so I have my fingers crossed that the scales might still be playing happy number machine tomorrow morning...

I think the drop is because my TOM which suddenly arrived after almost 2 years, has finished.. and really what IS with that... hello look what has arrived after not being there for 2 years!!! Ohhh Goody - NOT! Can you imagine the hunt for the appropriate articles that took place at my house!!! Yes there was ONE... which I found after a lot of ripping out of draws and digging in handbags and chanting "There must be ONE, there must be ONE" whew!

Of course Hubby thought it was a great joke that both Morgan and I had the same issue at the same time and loved pointing out to Tank that they had better be careful as both the Bitches in the house would be touchy this week.... hmmmm brave man that Hubby... Morgan and I just snarled at them...

Tomorrow is also the start of my semi-holiday as I already had the days off booked when I thought I would be competing in the Asia-Pacifics, so I have 5 days to enjoy myself, relax, turn 50, hair foiled, meet everyone at the Asia-Pacific, family lunch on Sunday.... YAY!

Anyway got to go and numbers will be posted tomorrow night...

You crack me up, lol! Love the John Wayne visual. I get excited too when I am feeling the DOMS! I am sore from yesterdays workout and I'm like..YES!! :-)
I wish I could get up early enough to try the cardio on the empty stomach...I've got some fat to burn, but my bed is oh so comfy. Someday I might get to that ;-)

Hey Cath, makes for great reading and i can identify with the training and eating plan you came up with. I find its best for me to come in at 4.15am and get my training in, otherwise i struggle to fit it in without interruption through the day and tend to get a bit snappy if i do get interrupted. Coll and I used to train together but its easier if i man the counter and spot for her, cause she gets snappier than me:)...Good stuff.
