Yearning...

A strange week and a fun week, frustrating and fabulous, yearning and focusing...

Finally kicked the bug to the curb, woke up Saturday morning back to my almost usual self, still a little snuffly but headed straight to the gym and jumped on the cross trainer... ahhhh home LOL

After 40 minutes of cardio and then some abs thrown in for fun I felt like me again, hell I missed training, how do people live without the feeling of life you get when the work is done????

Not being able to train for those three days made me realise how much I love to do this, not for any other reason than how bloody amazing it makes you feel when you have finished, while you are doing it and the results you can get at end...

Yesterday afternoon we headed to the INBA Brisbane Titles to watch Julie in her first competition and to hopefully meet up with some of the blogging crowd and who were watching and competing...

As soon as we arrived I could smell the Tan, hell that's a wonderful smell! Love that smell!! we browsed the stands, then we hit the seats and waited and watched and yelled and clapped.

I got to meet Chelle & Leisl... both beautiful, lovely, amazing your women and I feel a little special and spoilt that they actually wanted to meet me, I'm old enough to be their mum but we still share a common bound of love for this lifestyle and for what we can achieve with hard work and dedication.. Thanx for saying hi to me girls, you really did make my week!

When the 40+ Masters Figure women came out I became incredibly emotional, damn I wanted to be up there with them! I had tears in my eyes from yearning to be up there with them! There was only 50+ lady and they tacked her on to the end of the 40+ but they never actually acknowledge that she really was in a different category and she wasn't given a trophy for her own class either... hmmm if only I had competed we could have had our own class... hmmm another damn it moment... Still I cheered and clapped for Julie and Michaela till I was coughing and horse like an old smoker lol

I then got to yell and clap for Selina and Kylie as well... All of your did so well! You were on that stage where so many people will never get to, you achieved your goals, you worked hard and with a dedication that few people will ever understand or experience - You are amazing women!

The competition left me with a focus and a determination to head to October and to work the hardest I have ever worked to present the best ME I possibly can. I will stick to just the one show in October, mainly because no matter how much I beg Kelli she just laughs and says NO! But really because I want to focus on the one goal, clear and clean focus, the best I can be on the day...

So this morning I was out running the waterfront with Hubby, still totally on diet, and this afternoon I am heading to the gym to catch up on at least one of the days of training that I had to miss because of the lurgy...

Ohhhh and I have changed my photo at the top of the blog as I am going back to being a blonde! I have struggled with trying to achieve the hair colour I desired and have ended up a browny redish blahhhh boring colour... and just when I thought I would have to totally destroy my hair to get it back to blonde the wonderful owner of DNB Salon on Bribie asked if I would be a project for her year 2 apprentice who needs to practice foils... And was I interested in slowly going back to blonde as the red thing just didn't seem to suit me...

This happened a couple of days after I mentioned to Hubby that the best way for me to get back to blonde would be to have foils done over the next few months until I was blonde again for October, but coming up with the dollars to do it was going to be hard!!! Thank you to the Gods for answering my request!!!

Well I have 148 days till October 17th... I will not waste one of them... so I am heading to the gym...
