That will teach you to throw a tantrum.....

The end of a three day weekend has come around...,

Since Wednesday not a lot has changed in my world, cardio, work, training, cardio blah blah blah..

Friday bought about the start of something new in my work life which is exciting and at this stage must remain nameless.. But it is bringing a lot of my goals into a nice tidy line...sort of.. in a totally different way that I was looking at.. umm like if I was thinking of a nice line of ducks in a row and some how ended up with a line of budgies... same line.. same animal.. different outlook..

Friday was also the start of a nice long weekend, Saturday was taken up with extra training and cardio to counteract the closed gym on Monday, housework, a visit up the coast for Hubby to see Kelli's Hubby for his training and diet advice, food shopping, watching the All Blacks win the Bledisloe cup... again.. come on you think I would leave that alone.. really??? I am a Kiwi... and they really are so damn cute... and winners as well.. lol

Sunday was finally Broom day... finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were up early to fit in breakfast and my morning tea before we left so I could be guaranteed at least one warm meal, and as Hubby now has his "eat anything that sits still too long" day on a Sunday it was a perfect day for a ride..

The weather was also unbelievably perfect, no clouds, just a little nippy so a light sweatshirt under a heavy fleecy lined sweatshirt were a perfect combination of road wear.. we headed to Noosa.. well in honesty we just headed north, and ended up in Noosa..

But not before I threw a tantrum that would will an Oscar if Oscar tantrums were given out (which I fully believe they should be)...

See I carefully made up the chicken, sweet potato and green salad meal I would have for lunch, I have this for lunch every day, the amount of sweet potato varies depending on the carb allowance on the day but the meal stays the same....

So there it was made, contained within two containers on the hopeful off chance that I may find a microwave to heat the chook & potato, wrapped in a teatowel put in a plastic bag and tucked into my back pack complete with fork...

I was dressed for the ride, pantihose, socks, jeans, chuck taylors (can't ride in heavy boots, just can't get the feel for the brake and gears in heavy boots) Sucker Punch Sally boy beater, light sweat shirt with hood, heavy fleece lined sweat shirt, riding gloves.... then I tried to get the backpack containing my food over my shoulders.... and I tried again... Oh I got there eventually after Hubby helped pack me into the straps... I felt like a turtle! I felt constrained, tight, wrapped in duct tape... arghhhhhhhhh...

I just flipped...
I...c.o.u.l.d....n.o.t.....s.t.a.n.d...o.n.e....m.o.r.e...s.o.d.d.i.n.g...p.r.e.m.a.d.e....c.h.i.c.k.e.n....s.o.d.d.i.n.g...m.e.a.l!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrestled my way out of the back pack and threw it screaming (me, not the back pack) across the room.... I then enthusiastically removed the meal from the back pack and tossed it with great gusto across the other side of the room....

Got to give it to the takeaway containers we buy, those lids never even looked like coming off.. tight little suckers.... I stomped my feet, tossed my arms and generally threw a huge hissy fit yelling about sodding chicken and embarrassing lame eating special food in public...

Once again, sigh, Hubby calmed me down.. really can someone make this man a medal please.. and explained that we would ride until we found a Subway and he was sure that me having just one Subway salad was not going to totally derail my competition goals when I was 10 weeks out from comp.. really.. he was sure.. really..pat..pat..pat.. really...pat... pat... as he slowly lead me to Miss Broom...

So we rode, and my brain came back to where it belongs, and as usual the broom cured all my ills and my stress was left spread behind me on the highway like sparking crumbs... and by the time we stopped for our first coffee (which Hubby managed to consume two biscuits and a bacon and egg toasted roll without me crying, pouting or even drooling like a mad dog) I was feeling fabulous...

We ended up in Noosa, cause we knew there was a Subway there... I had a chicken breast salad with all the salad extras, no cheese, dressing or avocado, as I figured the extras probably compensated for the carbs the sweet potato would normally give me... umm is there carbs in Jalapeno peppers??? and really... I was totally disappointed.. compared to my homemade stuff it was bland, boring, tasteless green stuff... I told hubby this and then Hubby totally blew the medal ceremony he was going to get by turning to me and saying....

See that will teach you to throw a tantrum....

Had a fabulous ride back and we were going to go to the gym to make up for today as it is closed for a public holiday... but instead we headed out to try Genesis in Morayfield as my sponsorship at Physically Fit is now over and I am thinking a change may be a good thing...

Wow fabulous gym!!! Fabulous!! clean, all the equipment works! they have a choice of working cardio machines!! awesome mirrors and the lighting is a posers dream... the staff were great... the toilets were clean!!! great range of weights and although I am not a Nautilus machine fan they were great to use for a change and the range of them was awesome...

And best of all...... and I know I should not like this but hey, wait till you are fifty and see how you feel about it then.... but it took a whole 28 minutes for a bloke to hit on me.... LOL wooohoooo... I know, I know, its not a good thing... but hey wait till you are 50 and tell me that... And what made it better was I flirted shamelessly then left aforementioned bloke standing there and went back to Hubby.... ohhhh and the reason he started talking to me was he was flat bench pressing the same weights that I was flat bench FLYING!!!! yes he was at least 50 himself... but hey he still hit on me... ohhh and, and, and best of all.. Hubby was not hit on once... nope not once... LOL

Anyway, we are still thinking about it, it is a fabulous gym but having to travel 20 minutes both ways twice a day is a tough thing to get over... but then there is cute old guy... which may make the trip worth it LOL

So the long weekend is over, all training is on course, and a nice four day week starts tomorrow...

Only two sleeps till Hump day.. yay! and yes it is now jelly time...

ahhhhhhhhhhh! life is good. changes are good. tantrums are good (well we are girls dammit, lol, im just getting over one longass teary one myself). things that we work our asses off for fall into place eventually, sometimes in planned ways and other times in surprising ways-but they DO happen.

keep moving forward. keep working toward goals. keep having those tantrums and feeling alive. keep striving for doms (got it myself today, woohoo, ive worked my upper body and arms into a ouchie sore alive rage, and DAMN it feels good, LOL)! keep throwing the bullshit out on the roadway in brooms dust.

love u witchazel. keep being u. xoxo!
