No more tunnel..

I have finally stepped out of the tunnel!!!

A few weeks ago I had an amazing conversation with Kylie who owns Fitness Matters on Bribie and she asked me to join the team and become a PT instructor.... in the blink of an eye I was enrolled to do my Masters Trainers Cert with the Australian Institute of Fitness, and I start work at the gym on Saturday morning!!!

Last night I attended the first night of my Master Trainer course......

It was fabulous!! It was all the boring Admin stuff, introduce yourself, you know the normal first day thing but I still loved it! There are about 20 people in the class and the ages range from under 18 to me.... it is going to be so much fun learning about everyone and growing with this group of like minded people...

At the same time this is all very exciting and terrifying... I have told my current work that I have found my dream job and need to reduce my hours with them until I finish my course, explained the situation and they are really great and are allowing me to stay on and slowly reduce my hours until it is time to move completely into my new job at Fitness Matter..

OMG!! I can not wait to have the chance to do what I love for a job, to help others reach their goals, to have the ability to help people change their lives like mine was... hell this is amazing!!!

Sooooo I will try and keep blogging.... I'm sure I will have heaps of new experiences to ramble on about over the next 16 weeks... arghhhhhhhhhhhhh I am doing the hamster dance!!!!!!!

Now my biggest decision is to find a group fitness class that I can take... it has to be one that a 7 legged spider can take... my lack of balance and co-ordination is a thing of beauty, just yesterday morning I tripped over a non existent lump in the carpet at the gym... that was just after I told the infamous Julie about the need to take a class and after she had finished rolling on the floor and daring me to take a pump class so she could see me fall off the stage with a weight bar in my hands... not  nice... although totally realistic...  I am considering boxing... or pump... not zumba, definitely not zumba that does require rhythm and co-ordination... Maybe I could start a new fitness craze which requires standing still for long periods of time... Super Static Stances!!! That's it... I'm off to practice...
