Monday - now its leg day

New Programme - Legs on Monday... Had a great workout although the first day of a new programme always seems a bit messy while I try and work out which machine I am staggering to next.

Been told to cut back on cardio so it's a rest day today.. feels weird but it's good as my legs are saying W.T.F did you do that for??? with all the new exercises surprising my muscles.. love that John Wayne feeling!

I will always remember the very first time I hit the gym back when I was 30 - Oh my God that was 18 years ago!!! - anyway after a while I was given a programme with really heavy leg exercises and loved it...

The next morning after the first time I did the leg workout I finished the washing, went down the steps to hang it out, hung out the washing, walked back to the steps and went... ohhhh ummmm help! there was no way I could lift my feet high enough to climb an ordinary concrete step! In the end I had to sit on the step and scoot up to the next step backwards using my arms to lift me LOL It was the best feeling and a great tricep workout!!!

Speaking of important Leg things.... My Grandbaby Lily walked yesterday for the first time! This is Joseph and Lily back in October..

And this is my other NZ based Grandbabies Georgia and Briar..

Makes me feel very spoilt to have these little people in my life. I have been lucky to have two pretty great kids and now Grandbabies as well. These are what really matter in the greater scheme of things!

Now I am off to cook some Kangaroo steak for dinner... Have to admit I find this whole "Lets eat our national emblem" thing a bit weird.. Never had it before so wish me luck... Hey this isn't some kind of weird Aussie joke on us Kiwi's is it????????? You know... Put Kangaroo in the meat section, call it low fat and full of iron, lets see if the Kiwi's are stupid enough to eat it... hehehehehe

Will let you know how it goes... still feeling weird about it... they are so soft and cute! ok trying hard now not to think about that... crap I wonder if they were related to these ones I patted last weekend.... Crap shouldn't have thought of that... crap hope Hubby doesn't think about that he is a big softy whenit comes animals... Crap maybe we will just have veges tonight..
