when the going gets tough.....

When the going gets tough just bugger off and leave me alone to train!

Yep the going is getting tougher....

I am not saying I am not enjoying this part of the preparation...

I'm just saying it is the bloody tough part of the preparation...

I have great moments when I manage to trick myself into staying on the cross trainer on level 5 & 6 for the whole 45 mins in the evening by playing numbers games with myself... "Make it to 200 cals and yo can have another sip of Staminade", "now the minutes read 28.45 so you have to wait till 25 to stop", now the distance is 4.57 so you have to wait till 5.00 to get off".... etc etc Then when I do stay and do the whole 45 mins and I add it to the morning 30 mins and I remember how far I have come from being able to do 5 mins on level one before collapsing.. Wow I feel great!

I have shitty moments when I turn around and can not work out what I have just put into the microwave and burst into tears... when I am sooooo hungry I want to lick the toasted sandwich maker at work just in case someone didn't clean it after they used it LOL

But this is all part of the work I will do to reach the competition, if it was easy everyone would walk around with 8% body fat and we would all just be average...

If it was easy I would be on one of those after-the-news programmes flaunting the latest- easy- no-work-no-pain way to look fantabulous...

But it is not easy and that's the best part because now I know just what I am capable of in any aspect of my life - I am capable of anything!

I was asked today if I used one of those new whizz bang vibrating platforms when I trained, or do I think they are a crock of shit... Gee tough question NOT!

Turns out the the ladies hubby who just happens to smoke around a pack of cigs a day has bad circulation and since he smokes so much and has for so long, he can't do cardio, so she was hoping he could just stand still and smoke on a vibrating platform and he would get fit and healthy....

How the hell do you just not laugh at her!!!!!!

I just said... ummmmm maybe if he didn't smoke that would be a start...
but he has smoked for 30 years and if he stopped he would put on weight she says...
not if he eats right and trains... yes really, cause that's what I did after 33 years of smoking....
blank stare from her...

ok.... just go for the vibrating platform lady, cause it will be easy... SIGH!

Ohhhh got the bike tyre today - Yay!! Typical that it is now going to rain all week so I will have to try and get it to the tyre fitter in the rain... oh well such is life, it will probably be harder just staying upright on the bike with no carbs in me LOL

Time to go set up all the crap for tomorrow and sleeeeeeeeepppppppp

LOL! We have one of those stupid vibrating things at our gym too...and I see these women standing on it, fat wobbling...and they really THINK it's doing something. Doesn't ever occur to them that they NEVER see any truly fit person on the damn thing. I feel sorry for them in a way...but, like you say-they want the easy way!
Keep up the good work...it does get harder -but you can handle it-you ride a frickin' motor cycle for shit's sake! LOL!
